A target audience is a specific group of people most likely to want your product or service and therefore the group you should focus your marketing efforts on. It’s defined by demographics, behaviors, and other characteristics.

Target Audience vs. Buyer Persona
Target audience is a broad group definition; buyer personas are detailed, semi-fictional representations of ideal customers within that audience with names, backgrounds, and specific traits.
